The Black Fork hunting knife set is one of many new models released by CRKT this year. Designed by American knifemaker Tom Krein, each set features 3 knives that are all similarly sized, but all have different purposes. Krein, who himself is an avid hunter and expert craftsman, wanted to create a product that was lightweight and effective and can field dress an animal with the best of them. With the ability now to offer the capabilities of a caping knife, a skinning knife and a European-style gut hook in a 8 oz. package, this set is good to go whenever you are. Each model features a durable stainless steel frame and each individual knife feature thumb jimping so you know you can remain in control. From the beginning, CRKT has been driven by a single purpose: to bring useful technological advancements and entirely new product concepts to today’s market. This model, the 2839, features skeletonized stainless steel handles, various blade styles in a satin finish and a roll-up polyester sheath with a velcro closure for quicker exfil from the field.
